The Beginning

This is the first post of this blog. Let me start off by telling you that i am a huge sports fan. Especially houston sports. I am a die hard Astros, Rockets, Texans, and even minor league teams fan. I like to see my city be on top of the sports world. I am also going to share my thoughts about other things going on in the sports world. i will try my best not to bore you with that WR up north in Dallas too much. If you have thoughts or want to share your opinions, i welcome them. I am not an expert. I am just the guy sitting at the bar, watching the game, drinking a beer, with my own thoughts.

Now to sports stuff. I am glad the Astros signed Biggio today. I am glad he didn't get the big head and demand a lot of money. 5 Mil is relatively cheap considering he WILL BE a Hall of Famer. I do hope he retires after next year. I hate to see him struggle to keep up with the young guys out there. Now they can concetrate on getting a hitter and some pitching. I hate that Bags had to retire, but i think it was best. He will be remembered as being the 2nd best Astro in this era behind Biggio. It is not a knock on him. They were a close 1 and 2. I think if Berkman stays at first, he will be remembered as the Astros best first baseman. i just heard the Astros being considered in a trade for Miguel Tejada. I am for it. Everette has a good glove, but it is like have 3 pitchers or more hitting at the bottom of the line up. I imagine Everette and Lidge will be considered in the trade. Lidge needs a new setting. he is a good guy, but i have no faith in him. He blew many games last year. I know he isn't the only one to blame, but the games he blew meant the difference in a play off berth. This off season will be fun.

Texans are off to J-ville. I don have my thoughts on this. I am a die hard Texans fan, but i call it how i see it. I will be rooting for the home team, but i think j-ville may take it. I am just keeping it real. Hats off to #90 for showing up to games. I think he will be a force to wrecken with in the future.

Go Rockets!!! It is early in the season, but they have the make up of a good team. Yao has really stepped it up. It's good to see him playing well. I think things are shifting to this being his team. T-Mac had a good game against Milwaukee, but we need more of that. What can you expect though, the guy hasn't really played for awhile. It is good to see him healthy!!!

Congrats to Rutgers for beating Louiville. Now Louiville can shut up about demanding respect!!!

This is hoping to be a big sports weekend, as usual. Be back soon to share my thoughts!!!
